By creating an account or using RUN LANCS (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to the RUN LANCS app and website at runlancs.com, operated by RUN LANCS (“we”, “us”, “our”).

• You must be at least 16 years old to use RUN LANCS
• You are responsible for keeping your account secure
• Your display name must represent a real person — no impersonation of others
• You may only have one account per person
• You can delete your account at any time — see our data deletion page

You agree not to use RUN LANCS to:

• Post false, misleading or fraudulent run events
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users
• Spam other users with unsolicited messages
• Scrape, crawl or otherwise extract data from the platform without permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these rules.

When you post content on RUN LANCS (run descriptions, profile information, messages), you:

• Retain ownership of your content
• Grant us a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it to other users of the platform
• Confirm the content does not infringe any third-party rights

We may remove content that violates these terms or that we deem harmful to the community.

RUN LANCS is a platform for connecting runners — we do not organise or take responsibility for run events listed on the Service.

• Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of run details they post
• Participants attend runs entirely at their own risk
• We strongly recommend appropriate fitness preparation and safety precautions for all runs

We aim to keep RUN LANCS available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime or changes to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RUN LANCS is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to injuries sustained during runs discovered through the platform.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
